A vocational assessment is an evidence-based process that evaluates an individual’s background, skills, education, and occupational requirements and considers how these variables may be impacted by an individual’s disabilities or health conditions.

What makes an Echelon Edge Vocational Assessment stand out from the rest?

A thorough Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) can be conducted in rooms or in a claimant’s home. The FCE is customized for each individual and includes an assessment of physical, cognitive and psychological tolerances as applicable. A summary of functional restrictions is generated from the assessment and underpins the opinions provided in the assessment.

The medical evidence is reviewed prior to the assessment. A detailed medical history is taken from the claimant during the assessment, including impact of previous injuries/conditions. After the assessment, consistency is analyzed by cross referencing the medical evidence with FCE results and standardized self report measures.

A sound analysis of transferable skills is conducted with reference to widely accepted vocational assessment tools and publications. The claimant’s capacity to perform their substantive role, previous roles and other occupations are comprehensively examined based on their education, experience and training.
